  • Tomato hornworms – 32
  • Olive oil- 3Tbs
  • Green Tomatoes- 4 medium sized
  • Basil leaves- 20 small sized leaves
  • White cornmeal
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

For preparing this recipe a large wok will be required. At first the tomato hornworms should be cleaned properly and the tomatoes should be cut in 1/4th inch rounds. After this the oil should be poured on the wok and when the oil is hot, add the hornworms to fry it. Ensure that care is taken when frying them so that the cuticles do not get ruptured. When done remove it from the wok and keep it aside. Now, add salt and pepper on the tomato slices and coat them with cornmeal and fry them until they are brown in color.
